Therapy

Your experience may feel overwhelming, fragmented or perhaps you’ve just shut down. I’ve seen how people can find relief by describing their situation and putting their feelings into words.

Together we can begin to make sense of how things are for you. With your view from the inside and my view from the outside, we can find new perspectives.

I’m interested in what could bring more meaning and enjoyment to your life and relationships. You may want to make alternative choices or adopt a different attitude. The way forward may be a process of mourning, forgiveness or letting go.

My main way of thinking about my work is based on psychoanalytic psychotherapy. For me, psychoanalysis isn’t an obscure or intellectualised approach. It allows us to know more about our lived experience, and supports a more choiceful and enjoyable life.

Psychoanalytic therapy offers ways to explore our hidden motivations and patterns of behaviour, and their possible links to the past. It allows us to see how certain issues and conflicts can appear in our relationships, our dreams and fantasies, and in the therapy itself.
